This looks pretty great by itself, but they have added an RGB fan as well. First the entire cooler is black from the heatsink itself to the nickel-plated copper heatpipes. The RGB Black Edition of the new Hyper 212 has some style to it as well. You really couldn’t ask for an easier installation process. Cooler Master even made removing the fan easy with their fan brackets. Installation did not take long at all and the instructions were easy enough to follow. Even with the fan installed you are not going to run into any clearance issues with RAM or VRM heatsinks.Ĭooler Master has never really had the best mounting systems for their CPU coolers, but they made things quite easy with the Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition. This is a smaller cooler for sure, the single tower design is not all that wide at all. Based on its size and single fan I did not expect it perform this well, but I was presently surprised. Only one other cooler in our test group had better results and it was the massive Scythe Ninja 5. So the biggest thing about this cooler is that it performs amazingly. When we talked about the original Hyper 212 in the beginning of this review we mentioned how iconic of a cooler it was and I have to say after using the new Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition it is following suit.
